About this studio

The Dance Camp is located at 1325 Jefferson Ave in Buffalo's Coldspring neighborhood. The studio focuses on developing young dancers from age 3 upwards, with a philosophy centred on building confidence, technique and character alongside performance skills.

Weekday classes span Monday through Friday, covering Modern & Contemporary dance for teens (intermediate level), Jazz dance (intermediate, requiring prior experience), Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop. The studio also hosts Vogue Buffalo, a ballroom and voguing class for the LGBTQ+ community, which meets every other Thursday at 8pm. Saturday mornings and afternoons offer a full schedule: tots classes (age 3) featuring tap, singing and dancing with props and tumbling; Combo Kids (age 8.5+) blending tap and jazz at a discounted rate; Crew Tap (ages 12–13, experience necessary); Jazz Juniors (ages 12+, experience necessary); and Ballet (ages 10–13, starting 28 September). Tuesday includes a new Ballet class for ages 9–12. Wednesday offers Tap Dance Buddies and Ballet Dance Buddies (both ages 7.5–8.5) as combination classes. Thursday Tap runs for ages 6–7 beginning Fall 2025.

The studio produces an annual June show held at South Buffalo Charter School. Students also perform in May preview events. The studio emphasizes that ballet is a requirement for students wishing to perform in spotlight dances (solos, duets, ensembles). Classes are designed to teach technique, body awareness, performance protocols and camaraderie.
