About this studio

The Dance Loft SF is a boutique dance and wellness studio located at 81 Langton St in San Francisco, specialising in the Partner Flow© method. The studio offers private dance lessons for couples preparing for their wedding first dance, as well as social dance instruction for individuals and partners across a wide range of styles.

Wedding couples can choose from fully choreographed routines, low-key dances without choreography, or surprise formats that mix relaxed movement with festive surprises. The studio recommends starting lessons 10–12 weeks before the wedding and taking lessons consecutively when possible. Customers can bring their own music and the instructors will build choreography around their chosen song. The studio also works with non-wedding couples who want to learn to dance together and connect more intimately.

Beyond weddings, The Dance Loft teaches social dance styles including Argentine Tango, Bachata, Bolero, ChaCha, Foxtrot, Hustle, Lindy Hop, Mambo, Merengue, New Style Hustle, Nightclub Two Step, Quickstep, Rumba, Salsa, Samba, Swing (East Coast and West Coast), Tango, Viennese Waltz, and Waltz. The studio offers a five-dance lesson package to prepare students for social dancing at San Francisco's Latin, Swing, and EDM clubs. All lessons are currently private (1–2 people), though pop-up group classes are promoted through the newsletter.

The studio also provides Zumba classes (taught by Mikey, a licensed Zumba and Zumba Circuit instructor), Barre Above® fitness classes (certified through Barre Above®), yoga, and Reiki healing sessions. Corporate dance lessons, virtual dance lessons, and speciality events including bachelorette parties and team-building dances are available. The studio is open Monday–Friday 10am–10pm and Saturday–Sunday 7am–11pm, and rental space is available.
