About this studio
Good Vibes Dance Studio taught West Coast Swing, country dances, ballroom, Latin styles and more at 1751 Alexander Street in Salt Lake City. The studio offered group lessons in styles including West Coast Swing, Country Swing, Country Two Step, Night Club Two Step, Waltz, East Coast Swing, Polka, Triple Two, Cha Cha, Shag, Zouk, Carolina Shag, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Line Dancing, and Ballroom. Classes ranged from WCS L1 (12 weeks, $132) to single drop-in sessions ($15), with 5-class and 12-class packs also available. Private lessons accommodated up to 4 students at $90 per session, with discounted multi-packs available.
The studio ran social dances and dance events regularly, and hosted JT Swing SLC teams at both JV and Varsity levels — the Varsity team required audition and was for advanced dancers. A juniors programme served ages 12–18, though most of the dancer community was adults aged 21 to 99. The studio also rented its space for weddings, receptions, business events, workshops, and private parties, with a particular emphasis on dance-themed wedding receptions and workshop weekends.
Good Vibes Dance Studio announced permanent closure at the end of November 2025. The studio's Final Friday Social and Celebration took place on Friday, November 21, 2025, with a Thanksgiving/Farewell Dinner from 6–8 PM followed by social dancing. JT Swing Team continued in a smaller, workshop-style format starting February 2026. Before closure, the studio held Bootcamps on Saturday, October 18th and November 8th (1–4 PM) to ensure Level 1 students with 12-week passes completed their full experience.
