YAPP 361 Dance Studio

Founded in 2016, YAPP 361 Dance Studio is the only male-owned and operated dance studio of its kind in Corpus Christi. Established by professional danseur Donovan Reagan, it offers a safe, welcoming environment where individuals of all backgrounds can explore and develop a love for dance.

The studio provides high-quality, professional training for all ages and experience levels—from infants to adults, beginners to aspiring professionals. Classes include Mommy/Daddy and Me, Baby Ballet and Tap, as well as Ballet (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced), Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Yoga, and PBT/PCT. Programs span recreational dance, the Youth Arts Professionals Program, and health and wellness classes.

Donovan Reagan, known to students as Mr. Nathan, is the Master Instructor. He began his professional career through opportunities with Bolshoi West and the Joffrey Ballet School, training under legendary Gerald Arpino. His pre-professional study included work under Dorothy Percival with Bolshoi West and advanced training at Idyllwild Arts Academy under faculty including Jean-Marie Martz, Anne Krampen, Deborah Brockus, Stephanie Gilliland, and Sean Greene. In New York City, he trained at the Joffrey Ballet School under Edith D'Addario and Gerald Arpino, and at Steps on Broadway with instructors including Joe Lanteri (jazz), Roxanne Butterfly (tap), and Ethan Stiefel (ballet). He received mentorship from World Tap Champion Mike Minery, Richard Gibson, and Zory Karah.

His students have been accepted into prestigious institutions including Joffrey Ballet Chicago and New York, Boston Conservatory, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, LINES Ballet, School of American Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Houston Ballet. His choreography and coaching have earned top honors at Youth America Grand Prix and New York City Dance Alliance. He trained the youngest and only male dancer from Corpus Christi to place Top 10 at YAGP Regionals, and his dancers have earned Platinum and High Gold honors at NYCDA Nationals.

Additional instructors include Allison Purkey, a lifelong dancer with a collegiate background in musical theatre and certification as a fitness instructor with background in group fitness and injury prevention. She leads the Adult Ballet Program on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as Saturday morning Dancer Fitness classes and a dynamic Saturday improv class. Bailee Grossheim brings versatility across ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop, with training at The Dance FX Studio under Victoria Dolph and experience including National Championship titles and award-winning solos at ADTS Nationals. Savanna Baker began dance training at age three, served as Lieutenant on her high school drill team, and performed as a member of the Corpus Christi IceRays dance team.

The studio is committed to fostering growth, confidence, and proper education in dance, with six core values: Discipline, Confidence, Teamwork, Respect, Creativity, and Resilience.

New visitors can try a free class to experience the studio's teaching style and environment. The studio welcomes all ages and experience levels in a safe, welcoming space designed for dancers to progress at their own pace.
