About this studio

A Social Affair Dance Studio has been teaching social dance in Jacksonville since 1995. The studio is located in the Intracoastal/Jacksonville Beach area at 13947 Beach Boulevard Suite 207, and draws students from Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Beaches, Ponte Vedra, Mandarin, St. Augustine, Orange Park and beyond, even from Georgia. They teach ballroom dances, Latin, swing, country western, salsa, and night club—all the social partner dances.

The studio accommodates all age groups and welcomes beginners and advanced dancers alike. You don't need a partner to start: many members learn on their own, and it's described as a great way to meet new people. The studio is 3,500 square feet and can hold up to 140 people, making it suitable for private events as well as regular classes.

The instructors include owner and instructor Larry Audije, instructor and dance director Ashley Novak, and dance instructors Germine Amadis, Selah Browning, Muhidin Divovic, Barbara Leedy, Angelina Lutsenko, Bill Pennybaker, Keturah Robison, and Tom Wasil. The team is described as having a true passion for dance and movement, with dedication to teaching the most popular social dances while meeting students' individual needs.

The studio offers three tiered wedding dance packages. The introductory special costs $29 per person and includes three 30-minute private lessons, one complimentary group class lesson, and one practice party session. Package #1 (From This Day Forward) includes five 50-minute professional private lessons total. Package #2 (Love & Cherish) includes ten 50-minute professional private lessons. Package #3 (Now & Forever) includes twenty 50-minute professional private lessons plus unlimited complimentary group classes during the program length. All wedding packages include practice performances at practice party sessions.

The studio is open Monday to Friday 10:00 am–10:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm, and Sunday by appointment. Studio rentals are available for birthday parties, anniversaries, receptions, showers, and dance parties on Saturdays and Sundays and select weekday times, at hourly rates with a 2-hour minimum.
