Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Austin is part of the world's largest dance instruction organization, a franchise system that has taught over 40 million students worldwide since 1912. The studio operates in North Austin on US-183, open Monday to Friday 10am–10pm and Saturday 10am–2:30pm, closed Sundays.
You can take lessons as a single dancer (no partner required) or as a couple. The studio teaches Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm, Swing, Salsa, Country Western, Disco and Line Dancing. Each lesson is taught step-by-step at your own pace, with instructors specially trained and certified in these styles. Whether you want to become a comfortable social dancer or pursue competitive dancing as a hobby, the studio tailors lessons to your goal.
Kids and teens have their own weekly dance classes. Arthur Murray Austin teaches grace, poise and etiquette through ballroom, Latin and country western dancing. Children build physical strength and cardiovascular endurance while learning new social skills alongside their peers.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Austin is part of the Arthur Murray franchise system, which began in 1912 when Arthur Murray pioneered selling dance lessons by mail. In 1920, Murray arranged the world's first radio broadcast of live dance music for dancing, using students from Georgia Tech. The franchise expanded to 72 studios by 1946, and in 1950 Arthur and his wife Kathryn began teaching on television; their Arthur Murray Dance Party ran for twelve years on national television. Today, approximately 250 Arthur Murray franchised studios operate worldwide, continuing a tradition of more than 100 years in teaching dance.
