Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Raleigh operates two locations—one at 6250 Plantation Center Drive, Suite 107, and another Downtown at 401 N West Street, Suite 121—both open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 10pm, with Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.

The studio teaches Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm, Swing, and Country Western styles. For kids and teens, instructors introduce American Style Ballroom, American Style Rhythm, International Standard, International Latin, Swing, Tango, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Rumba, Waltz, Samba and more. Adults can take singles dance lessons (no partner needed), couples lessons, or specialist tracks in Salsa, Country, and Bachata. Each lesson is taught step-by-step at your own pace, and the studio customises programs to fit your unique goals and schedule.

The studio is part of Arthur Murray International, a franchise network with a history stretching back more than 110 years. The Arthur Murray method began in 1912 when Arthur Murray pioneered selling dance lessons by mail, one step at a time. In March 1920, Murray arranged the world's first radio broadcast of live dance music for dancing, using students from Georgia Tech. During the 1950s, Arthur Murray was the first to recognise the growing popularity of Latin dances in America and held conventions in Cuba to train instructors in the latest styles. The Arthur Murray Dance Party, a television show starring Arthur and Kathryn Murray, aired from 1950 and ran for twelve years on national television, introducing millions of viewers to ballroom dancing across the United States. Arthur Murray instructors have worked on major Hollywood films including Dirty Dancing, Dance with Me, Beauty and the Beast, Flash Dance, An American President, True Lies, Saturday Night Fever and Scent of a Woman.

The studio offers wedding dance lesson packages designed for couples with different needs, preferences and schedules. Gift certificates are available for any occasion. Kids' programmes teach children self-confidence and social skills through ballroom dancing, with boys learning to become confident gentlemen and girls developing grace and self-assurance. Your first lesson costs $29 and includes a consultation. Lessons are one-on-one or couples-based, taught step-by-step at your own pace, with no partner required for singles lessons.
