AT&CO Dance Studio

AT&CO is a locally owned, mother-and-daughter-operated dance studio in West Des Moines serving dancers from 18 months through 18 years old. The studio runs classes year-round, with a fall season running September through June. Classes are organised by level and age group, from the Pre-K Program (ages 18 months–2.5 years) through Level 5 (ages 14+), with placement based on ability and progress rather than age alone.

The studio teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, jazz funk, tumble tots, lyrical, clogging, and tumbling across multiple levels. The Pre-K Program blends ballet, jazz funk, and tumble tots in a nurturing environment. For ages 3–4, Level 1 introduces ballet, tap, and jazz/hip hop. Level 2 (ages 5–6) strengthens technique in ballet, tap, and jazz with hip hop core options. Level 3 (ages 7–9) adds intermediate ballet and intermediate tech classes alongside the main dance program. Level 4 (ages 10–13) focuses on lyrical, tap, hip hop, and dance technique with strength and conditioning. Level 5 (ages 14+) offers level 5 technique, preteen/teen/senior ballet, and team strength and conditioning.

Tumbling programs are available for ages 3 and up, ranging from intro to power tumbling, with placement recommendations offered based on individual progress. The studio emphasises one-on-one attention: instructors work with each dancer to ensure proper technique and provide positive reinforcement tailored to individual learning pace.

AT&CO positions itself around character-building alongside technical training. The studio aims to create confident, kind, and hardworking young people through a family-focused, encouraging atmosphere. The fall season begins 14 September each year, with registration opening in advance. New students can try one week of group classes as part of the New Student Intro Program for $19.99.

On your first visit, you'll meet Miss Amy and Miss Teddi, who take time with each dancer to show proper technique and provide individual attention. Classes are run by age group and ability level, so you'll be placed in an appropriate class where you can learn at your pace in a positive, encouraging environment.
