Barbara's Academy of Dance is in its 42nd season, located in the Lakeview Shopping Plaza on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut, MA. The studio's philosophy centres on quality dance education in a positive, fun environment. Small class sizes mean each dancer gets individual attention alongside proper technique training, self-esteem building, teamwork and confidence.

Classes run for ages 2 through adult, beginner to advanced. The weekly schedule spans Tuesday through Saturday, with offerings including Tiny Tots (ages 2.6–4), Beginner 1 (ages 4–5), Gymnastics across multiple age groups, and Variety classes. Older students and teenagers take Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop (levels I–IV), Musical Theatre, Pointe, and Leaps & Turns Clinic. Adults can join Jazz & Tap (starting October) and Adult Hip Hop. A Fosse/Burlesque class launches in February 2027.

Miss Barbara Lemire is the director and owner, bringing 42 seasons of experience. Her teaching centres on encouraging self-expression, building confidence and promoting physical fitness in a non-competitive, recreational setting. Miss Kerri Denommee (Deschenes), an assistant teacher in her 16th year of instruction, is trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, musical theatre and beginner hip hop. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary & Special Education and a master's degree in Education, and choreographed a local theatre production of Mary Poppins in 2017. Miss Christine Deidrich, another assistant teacher, trained for over 20 years in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre and tap. She was captain of WPI's ballroom dance team, competing in waltz, tango, foxtrot and swing.

Classes start the week of September 14. Open House dates are by appointment only; call to arrange a time. The studio encourages prospective students to follow them on Facebook for updates.
