About this studio
Colorado Dancesport operates two locations in the Denver metro area: a flagship studio in Littleton (5120 South Lowell Blvd) that opened in 2001, and a second location in North Denver (6830 Broadway Unit D) that opened in 2022. The studio was founded by Robert Nardozza and Harmony Munroe, who built the business on a vision of creating a welcoming space where people of all ages and abilities can discover ballroom dance.
The studio teaches a comprehensive range of partnered dance styles. In ballroom, you can learn Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. Latin styles include Salsa, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Bachata. American Rhythm covers Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, and Mambo. American Smooth teaches Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz. Swing options span East Coast, West Coast, and Hustle. Country dancing includes Two-Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Nightclub, Triple Two, Polka, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cowboy Cha Cha, Country Swing, and Line Dancing. The studio also offers Contemporary for Ballroom Dancers, LaBlast Fitness, Restorative Yoga, and Ballroom Meets Burlesque.
Classes are organized by level and style. Beginners have dedicated classes and drop-in sessions requiring no partner. The Newcomer Drop In Class provides an all-level beginner-friendly introduction to popular social dances. Intermediate students can take Level 1/2 and Level 2 classes in Technique & Styling, Ballroom, West Coast Swing, American, and Formation. Advanced dancers access Level 3 Rotating Classes and Level 3 Ladies Formation. Competitive students work with coaches on pro-am, am-am, and professional training across NDCA, USA Dance, UCWDC, and ACDA circuits.
The team includes 16 experienced instructors. Harmony Munroe, co-owner, won numerous titles in American Rhythm, American Smooth, and International Latin, and was a representative at the World 10-Dance Championships and World South American Showdance Championships. Robert Nardozza, co-owner, has taught U.S. Ballroom Champions for over 21 years and worked with U.S. Ice Dancers at the Olympic Training Center. Other notable instructors include Toby Munroe (Dance Director and two-time UCWDC World Champion in Classic Masters), Scott Koogle (Colorado State Salsa Champion), Faith Wailes (certified DVIDA instructor and 2023 UCWDC World Champion), Joseph Lettig, Shawna Reed, Jason Saxe, Brandon, Kelli, Melissa, Harmony, Glenn McCallum, Shelly, and Shannon.
The studio runs weekly practice dance parties and organizes international dance adventure trips for members. Wedding packages include custom choreography tailored to your song and comfort level; the studio recommends starting 2 to 4 months before your wedding. Youth classes are available to introduce young dancers to ballroom and Latin. Group classes rotate partners so solo dancers always have someone to dance with, and private lessons pair you with a professional instructor.

Your first visit
In your first lesson, your instructor will create a structured lesson based on your dance goals and get you dancing right away to learn the basics of your chosen styles. If you don't have a partner, that's fine—group classes rotate partners frequently, and private lessons are one-on-one with a professional instructor.

The studio has 16 experienced instructors. Key leaders include co-owners Harmony Munroe (former World 10-Dance Championships representative, titles in American Rhythm, American Smooth, and International Latin) and Robert Nardozza (21+ years teaching U.S. Ballroom Champions, worked with Olympic Training Center ice dancers). Toby Munroe (Dance Director, two-time UCWDC World Champion, inducted into UCWDC Hall of Fame in 2023), Scott Koogle (Colorado State Salsa Champion, former finance professional), Faith Wailes (certified DVIDA instructor, 2023 UCWDC World Champion), and Joseph Lettig (2012 So You Think You Can Dance competitor) also teach.

What to bring
Comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. If you don't have dance shoes, wear a shoe with a thin, smooth sole that keeps your foot secure. Heels are welcome if they fit securely and hug your foot. No partner or other equipment necessary.

Colorado Dancesport was founded by Robert Nardozza and Harmony Munroe and opened its doors on September 11, 2001, at the Littleton location (5120 South Lowell Blvd). The studio describes itself as having been "born from the resilience of the human spirit and the power of connection," built on the vision that everyone deserves a place to dance regardless of background or ability. In 2022, the studio expanded with a second location in North Denver (6830 Broadway Unit D) to reach more of the community.
