Dudman Academy of Performing Arts & Fitness is a family-run school in Fenham, Newcastle, serving students aged 2.5 to 18 across dance, drama and singing. The academy teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence, Musical Theatre, Drama, Hip Hop, Cheerdance, Acro and Commercial dance, with a separate Singing Academy offering private vocal tuition to any student, whether or not they attend the dance school. Adult students can take Cardio Latin, Ballroom, Adult Latin classes and private lessons.
All classes are held in fully equipped dance studios on the 2nd floor of 233 Two Ball Lonnen with a sprung floor, ballet barres and mirrors. The academy takes great pride in its 100% exam pass rate with the UKA Dance Association. Students are encouraged to sit regular exams and to compete in local and national competitions. Current students represent Team GB in Ballroom and Latin; the school has previously produced British Championship finalists.
The teaching faculty includes Natasha Dudman (Principal, MNATD, MIPATH, professional vocalist, Head of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Cheerdance and Singing Academy) and Lee Dudman (Principal, MNATD, former British Champion and Team GB Member, current British Adjudicator, Head of Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence, Musical Theatre, Cheerdance and Hip Hop). Additional staff include Linda Dudman Sales (LIFE MEMBER NCDTA, current British Adjudicator), Victoria Burke (International Latin Champion, British Champion and Team GB Member), Dawn Dimopoulos (MUKA, MADFP, Acrotrix Qualified Teacher, British Freestyle Adjudicator), and others holding relevant teaching qualifications.
Beyond regular classes, the academy arranges theatre visits, performs at charity events including Strictly St Cuthberts for St Cuthberts Hospice in Durham and Paws Up for Police Dogs, and runs an annual school show at a professional theatre. Wedding dances, group flash mobs and children's dance birthday parties are available. Many vocal students have progressed to top vocational schools and universities, and dance students have gained places at Stella Mann College, Mountview, Doreen Bird and Italia Conti Schools in London and surrounding areas.

Your first visit
Classes are held in fully equipped studios with a sprung floor, mirrors and ballet barres. All teachers are fully qualified with professional industry experience. The academy encourages creativity and good technique while fostering teamwork, and students are regularly prepared for exams with the UKA Dance Association.
