About this studio
Fancy Feet Dance Academy offers over 60 classes across two Sacramento locations: East Sacramento (712 57th Street) and Land Park (1331 Broadway). The studio teaches ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre to children from 18 months through their teens. Each style is organised into clear progression levels so dancers advance at their own pace regardless of age. Classes include proper technique instruction: ballet classes consist of barre work, center work and across the floor; jazz combines warm-up, barre work, conditioning and choreography; tap teaches rhythmic footwork and coordination; hip hop includes styles such as locking, popping and breaking; lyrical and contemporary fuse jazz and ballet technique with expressive, story-driven movement. The studio has a family-friendly environment where both competitive and non-competitive dancers train together.
Fancy Feet hosts two annual recitals: a June show and a December holiday show. The June recitals have included themes like "Dancing with Disney", "Throwback 80's & 90s", and "Broadway Bound". December recitals feature shows like "Home for the Holidays" and "Holiday Movie Magic". Beyond studio performances, students participate in community events including the State Fair, Harlem Globetrotter games, 4th of July parades, Senior Assisted Living facilities, and Children's Hospital of Sacramento. The studio also runs an optional Velocity Dance Team for competitive training.
Birthday parties are available at both locations. Each party package includes private event space, themed décor with set-up and clean-up, a 6-foot round backdrop, balloon arch, dress-up clothes, an age-appropriate dance routine, activities and games, party favors, and table settings. Packages accommodate 15 children with the option to add more at $10 per child (up to 25 children). Character or princess appearances are included for 1 hour (Ruby and Emerald packages) or 1.5 hours (Diamond package). A bounce house add-on is available for $120. Party themes include Frozen, K-pop, Unicorn, Paw Patrol, Princess, Barbie, and many others.
The studio's instructors have college degrees in dance education, professional entertainment experience, and performance training. The faculty includes Elizabeth, Lindsay, Heather, Angelina, and Gigi. Fancy Feet operates a Teacher Assistant Program for students interested in supporting classes. Current promotions include the Back to Dance Special at $99, which includes one month of classes, an exclusive water bottle, and a studio-approved leotard dress. A Christmas in July promotion allows currently enrolled students to add a second weekly class for $30.
