Before your first class
Newcomers of all ages are welcome; new students receive a free trial class, and classes range from preschool (ages 2.5–5) through adult with recreational options for those dancing for enjoyment and fitness.
Summer Palooza Camp 2026: $400 for 5 full days (9 AM–3 PM), $325 for 3 full days, $300 for 5 half days (9 AM–12 PM), $225 for 3 half days; drop-in rates $120 full day, $75 half day (Mon–Wed only).
About this studio
Heavey Quinn Irish Dance has taught Irish dance in the Greater Boston, Merrimack Valley, and Metrowest areas since 1985. The studio is devoted exclusively to Irish dance, teaching traditional dances including the Reel, Jig, Hornpipe, and Ceili while immersing students in the culture and history of Irish dance.
Classes run in Chelmsford and Framingham and span all ages and levels. The Jump'n Jig Preschool Program serves ages 2.5–5 with Ceili, Step, Ballet, and Tap. For ages 6 and up, Irish Step and Ceili Dancing classes are available at recreational and competitive levels, from Preliminary through Open Championship Level. An Adult Dance Program also runs for older beginners and continuing dancers.
The studio emphasises proper placement, timing, and correct body carriage, building strength and perseverance alongside technical skill. Students regularly participate in local, national, and international competitions and perform at events across the region. The director, Mary Heavey-Quinn (TCRG), holds membership in the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, the Irish Dancing Teacher's Association of North America, and the Irish Dancing Teacher's Association of New England.
The teaching staff includes TCRG and ADCRG-certified instructors: Brittany Beacham Tomascak, Kathleen Flaherty, Ronan McCormick, Anthony Murnane, and Kelly Pearson, along with instructors Deirdre Morello, Roseanne Howell, and Julia DaCosta.
Summer programs include Summer Palooza Camp (July 13–17, 2026) for ages 4–12, open to dancers and non-dancers, with full-day and half-day options, and a Summer Intensive (July 27–31, 2026) for experienced dancers. New students receive a free trial class and can tour the studio. The studio also books performances—thirty-minute presentations with Irish-themed music and interactive fun—for local events, parties, and festivals.
