About this studio
La Vie Dance Studios is a woman-owned dance venue on West Morena Boulevard in San Diego. The space spans 1,000 sq ft with a ballroom dance floor, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Two studios are available: Studio 1 downstairs (capacity 30 people) and Studio 2 upstairs (capacity 150 people). Both feature Bluetooth and manual sound systems, special effects lighting, and setup assistance for DJs and events.
The studio has been in operation for over 10 years as an event rental venue. It hosts a range of dance classes taught by independent instructors, including Argentine Tango (Fulya & Ozhan), SambaBrazil SD (Renata Secco), Belly Dance (Lucia Herlinda), Ole Flamenco (Juanita Franco), Sol Zouk & Forró (Walter & Larissa), Heelscape with Saucy, Frame Up Strip Heels Floor Work with Dance Mode, Tango Milonga Sin Nombre, and Capoeira Luanda (Prof. Contramestre Massape). To register for classes, you contact instructors directly or email the studio, and they will connect you with teachers. The studio recommends following them on Instagram for faster service.
The space features a gorgeous wood floor, sophisticated lighting system, great sound, and excellent airflow with both air conditioning and large ceiling fans. There is a kitchen available for food preparation. All participants must sign a waiver before participating.
Beyond dance classes, La Vie hosts workshops, rehearsals, fundraisers, celebrations and other community events. It welcomes fine-art and cultural exhibits, cultural performances, and artists of all kinds. The studio is open daily from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM. It was recognised as a Quality Business Awards 2023 winner.
