Let's Dance Rochester

Let's Dance Rochester, located at 1350 University Ave in Rochester, teaches ballroom, Latin, and social dance to students of all skill levels, ages, and abilities. Owner Marina Lisser founded the studio after moving to the USA in 1993, bringing with her extensive competitive experience from Russia including Russian National Finalist titles and European Cup appearances. She has taught dance professionally for over 25 years and holds a Master's Degree in Dance Forms and Art of Choreography from Perm's State University of Arts and Culture.

The studio offers group classes in Salsa/Bachata (beginner and intermediate, Mondays, currently postponed for summer), Ballroom Basics and Latin (Saturdays at 11:15am, six-week courses), Country Western Dance including Two Step, Country Swing, Waltz, and Ten Step Polka, and Theater Arts. Private lessons are available every day. A monthly membership costs $85 per month for up to three dance classes per week. You can also take a one-month trial for $99, or enrol in specific six-week courses.

Wedding services are a major focus. Packages start at $285 for the Crash Course (three private lessons), rising to $800 for the Level Two intermediate package (ten private lessons). Services include first dance choreography, father/daughter dances, mother/son dances, and flash mob routines. The studio also runs a Wedding First Dance Workshop on selected Sundays at 12:45pm, combining one group class and a 30-minute private lesson for $85 per couple. Online wedding lessons are available via Zoom at $160 for two people (three 30-minute lessons).

Kids' dance classes run Tuesdays at 5:15pm for ages 5–8 ($80 per month, 45 minutes weekly) covering pre-ballet, coordination, music, stretching, modern, and ballroom and Latin basics. The studio also offers Quinceanera choreography and birthday parties (from $150, including 45 minutes of dance and 15 minutes of dance marathon). Private coaching is available for posture, youthing, dowager's hump, mobility, balance, and stretching, with visible results promised in four weeks; a trial week costs $70.

Wheelchair dancing is explicitly supported. The studio also functions as an events venue, hosting small weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, and dance-themed events for up to 70 guests. Studio space is available to rent to yoga, martial arts, dance teachers, and other groups. The studio runs a Studio Showcase and Social Dance event (December 6th; new date pending). Professional instruction is available in American Style and International Style Ballroom & Latin, as well as Theater Arts Dance Instruction.

Group classes are structured around six-week courses. Private lessons are available daily; first-time students can book a free 30-minute consultation before committing. The studio welcomes complete beginners as well as advanced dancers, and instruction is personalised to your goals, whether social dancing, competition, or performance.

Marina Lisser (owner and principal instructor) is a Russian-trained dancer and choreographer with competition credentials including Russian National Finalist status and European Cup participation. She holds a Master's Degree in Dance Forms and Art of Choreography. The teaching team also includes Aneli Campos-Andrade (BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, instructor in group classes, private lessons, and wedding routines), Emily Knight (theatrical style instructor), and Liesel Holcomb (waltz specialist and graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Health Fitness and Rehabilitation).

The studio explicitly welcomes dancers of all skill levels and explicitly states that everyone has the right to start where they are, whether beginners or advanced.
