About this studio
Lynn & Jen's Dance Studio has been serving the Arlington community for over 25 years. Co-founders Lynn Moniz Greenwood and Jennifer Wesley Corbett bring deep professional credentials: Lynn is a certified member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston with over 35 years of teaching experience, while Jennifer is a BFA graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts who trained under established New York choreographers including Ronald Brown and Ann Reinking.
The studio offers classes across six core styles: ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and acrobatics. Classes are organised by age group (ages 2–7, 7–11, 11–18, and adults) and skill level. The youngest students begin with Little Dance Explorers (ages 2–3), a parent-child class focusing on creative movement and classroom etiquette. From ages 3 onwards, students progress through structured combos—Creative Movement, Ballet & Tap Combo, and Ballet, Jazz & Tap Combo—building technical foundation and confidence. Hip Hop and Acrobatics are offered as specialty classes. Summer programming includes technique and combo classes (ages 9–18), functional stretch and injury prevention training, and one-on-one injury screening with an exercise specialist.
The studio space features marley flooring with shock-absorbing foam subfloor and an iWave air purification system. A competitive dance team performs in select New England competitions throughout the year, with many graduates continuing to collegiate-level study and performance.
Every June, most students perform in a professional-quality recital on a high school stage with costumes, music, and lighting design. The 10-month season (September to June) culminates in this showcase. Classes follow the Arlington school calendar for holidays and snow days. The studio emphasises individual attention, creative expression, teamwork, and technique within a welcoming, inclusive community.
Instructors include specialists across all styles: Carol Everett (creative movement, ballet/tap combo, adult fitness; Bentley College graduate and studio alumna), Betzi Hanc (ballet, creative movement, tap, Little Dance Explorers; UMass Amherst BA), Carmen Lopez Domenech (acrobatic dance; international coaching and judging background), Marisa Moniz (jazz, kicks-turns & leaps; Dean College BA and studio alumna), Devin Woolridge (hip hop; trained in Boston/NY/LA with credits including ABDC season 6 and feature films), Ami Fatula (yoga; 200-hour registered instructor with advanced 300-hour training), Spencer Keith (ballet & ballet technique; former Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre soloist 2011–2018), Jessica Mollin (tap; Connecticut Tap Collaborative and Endicott College Repertory Dance Ensemble), Paige O'Connor (ballet technique, contemporary, kicks/leaps & turns; Dean College BA and 2017 Ballet Director at New England Summer Dance Camp), and Olivia Coviello (tap; Boston Tap Company and Dean College alumna).
