About this studio

Studio 52 Dance Academy is in Ixelles, a short walk from Etterbeek station. The school teaches dance and wellbeing across three age brackets: petite enfance (3–6 years), children and teenagers (6–18 years), and adults and seniors (18+).

The dance syllabus spans classical, urban and acrobatic styles. For younger dancers, it starts with Initiation Danse (3–6 years) and Initiation Acrodanse (5 years). Across all ages, the school offers Danse Classique–Ballet, Modern Jazz, Danse Contemporaine, Street Jazz, Hip-Hop (7–18 years), Breakdance (6–18 years), Acrodanse (6–18 years), and Danse Aérienne (7 years–adults). There is also a choreography workshop (Atelier de création chorégraphique) for ages 16–18 and adults, and Capoeira for ages 8–18 and adults. The wellbeing strand includes Pilates, Yoga, Barre au sol (from 12 years), and Barre Sculpt & Stretch, all for adults and seniors.

Teaching emphasizes four pillars: anatomical awareness of the body and musculature; musical training in rhythm and musicality; artistic expression; and technical development. The school describes its approach as combining rigour with pleasure, and aims to accompany each student with care while nurturing their passion for learning and personal growth.

The facilities are described as modern and fully dedicated to dance, offering comfort and safety for both amateur and professional dancers. Every year, students can perform in the end-of-year recital, where they apply what they have learned in class and express themselves before an audience. First-time visitors can attend a trial class; the school runs discovery classes (Classes découvertes) and organises trial sessions during agreed weeks if you cannot attend the scheduled dates.
