About this studio
The Core Dance Center is in its fourth season as a dance studio in Miami, serving dancers of all ages from pre-K through company level. Director and owner Ms. Nicole has built the studio on the principle that dance is a powerful expression of emotions and a way to connect with others. The studio offers a diverse range of dance styles: Ballet, Acro, Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Ballroom and Flamenco.
Classes are structured by age and grade level, starting with Peewees (pre-K ages 3–4), progressing through Mini A (kindergarten and 1st grade), Mini B (2nd and 3rd grade), Juniors (4th and 5th grade), Teens (6th grade and up), and Company (by placement). Each style has its own focus and technique foundation. Technique/Strengthening classes form the core training tool, carrying dancers across all styles and onto the performance stage. Ballet classes emphasize correct body placement, turnout, epaulement and port de bras. Jazz covers strength, flexibility, conditioning, turns, kicks and leaps alongside trendy dance steps. Contemporary/Lyrical explores style, strength and technique through varied movement. Acro combines dance with gymnastics, developing strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Hip-Hop is described as high-energy and high-impact, using urban music and current trends to develop rhythm, musicality and precision. Ballroom starts with Samba and Cha Cha, building to Jive, Foxtrot and Waltz. Flamenco focuses on emotional intensity, expressive arm work and rhythmic stamping of the feet.
The studio has thoughtfully curated an on-site retail boutique with dance wear and basic needs for all dancers. Ms. Nicole emphasises creating a thriving and inclusive dance community where every dancer can flourish, whether on the performance stage, at conventions or elsewhere.
Registration for the 2026–2027 season is open, with an Orientation/Registration Day scheduled.
