About this studio
The Dance Centre has been serving Northeast Ohio for over 35 years, founded by Heidi Glynias in 1989. The studio is now led by owner and director Kayleigh Feldkircher, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of The Ohio State University who danced on the Ohio State Dance Team and performed with New Vision Dance Company. Under her leadership since 2022, the studio emphasises what it calls "the whole dancer"—training that develops artistry, confidence, and character alongside technique.
Classes span Pre-K movement (ages 2–5) through adult offerings. The studio teaches Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Acrobatics, JLT (jump, leaps, and turns), Poms and Conditioning, Musical Theatre, and Improvisation, Composition & Partner Work. Beginner through Advanced levels are available across most styles. Pre-K classes include Ready Set Dance and Move w/ Me (parent and toddler). Adult classes run 6-week sessions in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop at Beginner to Intermediate levels.
Club TDC is the studio's elevated training pathway for dancers ready to train and perform at a higher level. It offers competitive and non-competitive options across multiple tracks. Minis Crew (ages 6–8) is a non-competitive introduction to Club TDC where dancers train in jazz or hip hop. The Commercial Track (ages 8–18) is competitive, focused on hip hop, jazz, tap, and contemporary. The Concert Track (ages 7–18) is non-competitive, centred on ballet and contemporary ensembles. Club TDC dancers perform at venues including Broadway and New York City, as well as showcases, benefit performances, pro sports events, and local festivals.
The studio's teaching team includes Mason Alexander, trained in ballet at Cleveland City Dance and the Ana Lobé Ballet Academy, who has toured nationally and collaborated on new works with Inlet Dance Theatre; and Ashley Cooper, a dancer and aerialist trained at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Arts who worked as a Production Dancer and Aerialist with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Many instructors have been with TDC for years.
TDC Gives Back is central to the studio's mission: students have completed 200+ hours of community service and the studio has raised $90,000+ for local non-profit organisations. The studio is a proud affiliate of Girls Geared for Greatness, a national programme that prepares girls ages 7–18 with tools for confidence and leadership. Kayleigh joined the Girls Geared for Greatness Board of Directors in 2024. The studio offers free trial classes and operates a Parent Portal and mobile app for current families.
