About this studio

Vicki's School of Dance has been teaching in Bossier City for over 55 years, now in its third generation of dancers. Founded in 1970 by Vicki Murray Fulghum when she was 15, starting with just 4 students in a converted garage, the studio now enrolls approximately 700 students. The school is family-run: Vicki is the Owner and Artistic Director; her daughter Sara, an LSU Golden Girl and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, is an Instructor and Business Manager; and her daughter Melanie is an Instructor and Choreographer.

The studio's curriculum spans jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet technique, stretching and performing, with classes organised by age and grade. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, the schedule runs from late afternoon through early evening, serving dancers from age 2 (Baby & Me classes) through high school. Little Vicki's is a dedicated performing group for younger students (ages 3–4 and K–1st grade). Elementary, middle school and high school performing groups meet for additional rehearsals and performances beyond their regular Friday or Saturday class times. Multi-class discounts are available (\$20 per additional class), and sibling discounts apply to family enrolment.

The facility is located in North Bossier in an 8,000+ square foot building with three large studios, each with a professional dance floor. The newest addition includes theatrical lighting and special effects. A spacious waiting area accommodates families.

Vicki's record speaks for itself. Her graduates have danced for LSU, La Tech, ULM, the Kilgore Rangerettes, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Houston Texans Cheerleaders, and other collegiate and professional organisations. The studio has won "Locals Love Us" and "Best of SB" awards from SB Magazine and been named Reader's Choice by Bossier Press Tribune. The school emphasises building not only skilled dancers but also confident, well-rounded people and leaders.
