About this studio
Candace Dance Company operates two locations: the main studio at 4480 Viking Drive in Bossier City and a second location in Benton at 5430 Airline Drive Suite 300. The studio teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Hip Hop, Technique, Lyrical, and Contemporary. They serve both recreational students who want dance as a fun extracurricular activity and competitive dancers aiming for serious training.
The studio runs three programme tiers: recreational classes for all ages, dance and performance teams, and a competition and pre-professional dance program. Their competition team has attended large competitions and won top and overall awards. The studio also gives students opportunities to learn from world renowned dancers and choreographers and supports travel to workshops and auditions across the country.
The performance structure includes multiple themed competition and crew teams: the Beyoncé Team, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers Team, Lady Gaga Team, Tom Petty Team, Madonna Team, Taylor Swift Team, Hannah Montana Team, and Shirley Temples Team. Crew teams include the Barbies Tiny Show Team, Spice Girls Crew 2, Elvis Presley Team Crew 1, and Ariana Grande Team Crew 3. Senior team, solo dances and duets are invitation-only selections made by the program director.
Team auditions are held in summer. The studio aims to build student confidence while teaching proper dance technique and instilling values of hard work, dedication, discipline, and perseverance. Teachers are positioned as positive role models in a warm and welcoming environment. The annual CDC Recital took place at The Strand Theater in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The studio has earned recognition as a Winner of Locals Love Us from SB Magazine and is listed on thebestdancecompanies.org and thebestbusinesses.org.
