About this studio
Brilliant Dance Company is located at 701 East 63rd Street, Suite G30 in Kansas City, Missouri. The studio operates two dedicated dance rooms: Studio 1 is a 750 square foot ballet room, and Studio 2 is a 400 square foot space designed for tap and younger dancers. Both studios feature sprung floors with Marley systems.
The studio teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, clogging, and leaps and turns across all age groups. Classes are structured by age band, starting with pre-ballet for ages 2–3 (30 minutes, $48/month) and combo classes for ages 3–5, moving through traditional ballet and technique-focused classes for ages 7–10, intermediate classes for ages 11–13, and advanced options for ages 14–18. Adult classes are available for ages 18 and up, including beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced adult tap, adult hip hop, adult lyrical/contemporary, and clogging.
Miranda Muenz is on staff. She is a recent alumnus of the University of Central Missouri with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She has taught at By Grace Performance Studio, First Act, and Antioch Middle School, and choreographs across Kansas City. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old.
The studio's philosophy centres on dance as a tool for self-expression and aims to create a welcoming, encouraging, inclusive, and age-appropriate atmosphere for students to grow as dancers and as people. The studio welcomes dancers of all ages and offers free trial classes before registration so students can find the right fit. Classes run across multiple time slots throughout the week, with the main season running from September 8 to June 5. Summer classes are also available.
What to expect
Your first visit
You're welcome to try a free trial class before registering. Classes are structured by age and ability level, with small-group instruction in a dedicated studio space. Main-season classes run Monday through Thursday evenings, 5:00 pm–9:00 pm, with some options on Friday and Saturday by appointment.
