Diamond State Dance

Diamond State Dance opened in 1988 as Ms. Karen's Dance Studio and rebranded in 2025, maintaining three core principles: teaching great dance classes, nurturing students with love, and making dance fun. The studio serves ages 18 months to 18 years with classes in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, musical theater, lyrical and contemporary. A specialized toddler program begins with Mommy & Me at 18 months, where parents stay with their children until around age 3.5. The studio offers additional programmes including Twinkle Toes, Broadway Babies, Kinder Dance, Rhythm & Acro, Show Stoppers, Performance Project, Cheernastics, and Tumbling/Acro classes. Dancers over 7 years can enroll in levelized technique classes.

The nationally recognized Competition Team competes at local and national levels, offering advanced dancers the chance to develop their talents and build lasting friendships. All students have the opportunity to perform in the studio's Christmas showcase in December and other recitals throughout the year. The studio's staff consists of professional adult instructors, many of whom are alumni of the studio or have trained at universities including the University of Arkansas, University of Central Arkansas, Mississippi State University, and Ole Miss. Several instructors hold certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and Acrobatic Arts.

Enrollment runs August through June on a perpetual basis, with a separate summer session available. Monthly tuition is automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month, though parents may opt to pay the entire semester or year upfront. Trial classes are available—contact the studio to schedule. The studio accepts new students at any time during the year. Classes are gender-inclusive; boys are welcome in all dance, cheer and tumble classes.

The studio is located at 6 Parkstone Circle in North Little Rock and is open Monday and Thursday 1pm–9pm, Tuesday 1pm–9pm, Wednesday 4pm–9pm, and Saturday 9am–12pm. Students should have hair secured in a neat bun or ponytail, wear fitted dance wear, and bring required shoes. The studio offers jazz, tap and ballet shoes for purchase and can order additional dancewear for delivery within 4 business days. Beyond monthly tuition, families should budget for an annual registration fee, costume fee, and recital fee.

Instructors include Tara Beebe (Owner/Competition Team Director), Addie Grace Coleman, Allie Spellman, Aly LaBanca, Andrea Arias, Brooklyn Pennington, Camryn Ross, Gabi White (Customer Care/Enrollment Coordinator/Instructor), Katie Robinson (Director of Curriculums/Instructor), Lauren Throneberry (Mini Team Director/Instructor), Lily Pace, Madeline Langston, and Olivia Gosser. Several hold certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique and Acrobatic Arts.

The studio accepts students of all ages and abilities, with a specialized Mommy & Me class starting at 18 months and classes available for older beginners with no prior dance experience.
