About this studio

Kristina's Broadway Connection is a dance and musical theatre school in Vienna's 2nd district, located directly at U1 station Nestroyplatz on Praterstraße. The studio describes itself as "Wien's first address for professional dance and musical instruction for children, teenagers and adults."

The school offers classes across multiple dance styles: ballet, tap (Stepp), contemporary, jazz, hip hop/breakdance, acrobatics, and musical theatre with singing and acting. They run hobby classes, competitive teams, and a dedicated Broadway Academy of Musical Theatre for diplomas. The Junior Dance Academy is their competitive team, and they also operate a Broadway Company for musical performers aged 8–22. Kristina Decker, described as a "North-American Tap-Master," leads the studio, which is known as "Wien's tap school #1." The teaching staff includes Yvonne Kellinger, Zemfira Manukyan, Bianca Ogris, Marie Christine Huemer, Lilia Batyrev, Dani Luxbacher, Pascale Mayer (Podiwinsky), Jeanne Richter, Desi Bonato, Adrian Infeld, Luisa Solowjowa, Ektoras Georgiou, and Katharina Strohmayer.

The school year runs September to June in two semesters, with approximately 16 classes per semester. Classes operate Monday to Friday, with office hours 15:00–20:30. A trial class (Schnupperstunde) costs €10. Adult and professional courses can be taken as single classes at €18 each, or via a DanceCard of 10 units for €165 (valid 4 months). The school follows Vienna's school holiday schedule.

The studio features changing rooms with showers for both boys and girls. Changing rooms are available, and students should bring a leakproof, unbreakable drink bottle. The studio hosts an annual showcase called KBC Tanzspektakel (2026 edition: "Dancing in the Street"), and also runs Show-Act 4 You (show performances) and venue rentals. Competitive success includes 12 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze medals at the 2026 International Dance Open World Finals in Zagreb. Students can join from the beginning of the school year or, with teacher permission, later (though later entrants may not participate in all choreographies for the annual show). Online registration is required for most courses.
