About this studio
Perdido Performing Arts has been teaching dance and theatre in Pensacola for over 10 years. The studio serves dancers from pre-school age to adult, offering classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. All instruction comes from professional staff in a safe and welcoming space.
The studio is home to two performance groups. The Chicken Nugget Crew is a Hip Hop dance crew for ages 8–17 that performs at community events, fundraisers and festivals. Team Nuggets, which started in 2022, is the studio's award-winning competition team that has grown significantly; dancers make friends, win awards and earn scholarships at conventions and competitions.
Beyond regular classes, Perdido Performing Arts runs a Production Company that creates, performs and hosts local events and shows. The studio is best known for its production of Thriller and provides dancers and entertainment for festivals, special events and parties.
Adult dancers can join the Pensacola Drop-ins programme, held Thursday nights from 8:30–9:30pm. These industry and commercial style classes are geared towards advanced dancers ages 18 and up and cost $10 per session with no registration fee.
The studio also offers a summer Boot Camp (9am–3pm) open to all dancers, held July 27–29, with a camp fee of $75. Fall classes begin August 17th each year. Registration for the 2026–2027 Fall Season opens June 30th, with a $10 discount for registrations completed before August 1st.
What to expect
Your first visit
You'll find a welcoming studio environment where professional instructors teach a range of styles. Classes are organised by age and ability, from pre-school through to adult. If you're an advanced adult dancer, you can drop into the Thursday night Pensacola sessions for $10; otherwise, register by phone to join regular classes starting August 17th.
