Rock City Dance Studio

Rock City Dance is located at 7501 Pearl Road in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, at the intersection of Pearl and Webster. The studio welcomes students of all ages and levels to explore dance in an affordable, non-competitive environment—whether you're an aspiring dancer or looking for exercise and fun.

The studio teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Break Dancing, and Hip-Hop Dance Classes. Fitness classes include Zumba, Cardio Hip-Hop, Yoga, and Rock Bodies. Classes are available for ages 2 to adult, with special discounted rates offered for students taking multiple classes each week.

Rock City Dance's instructors are highly trained professionals with performing experience at renowned companies including Verb Ballet, Inlet Dance Theatre, MOMIX, and the Cavs Scream Team. The teaching roster includes Ahna Bonnette, a company dancer with the nationally recognised Groundworks Dance Theater; Bethany Eilean, who has choreographed for theatre productions including The Wizard of Oz and 9 to 5 and worked with Tony award-winning choreographer Dave Nuemann on the Netflix film White Noise; David Darrington, a founding member of the award-winning adult dance crew RemiCxD and a hip-hop dancer teaching since 2010; Karina Brown, who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Case Western Reserve University and has been in the dance industry for over 27 years; Luca Sportelli, a former company dancer with Nashville Ballet; and Nico Oliveros, a professional dancer with the Cleveland Cavaliers Scream Team for 3 seasons who teaches break dancing, tumbling, and acro skills. Additional instructors include Gweneth Amalong, Jacob Glendenning (who has starred in musicals including Newsies and The Addams Family and appeared in the Netflix film White Noise), and Jenna Mey, a Star Dance Alliance World Dance Championships competitor.

The studio operates with a no-contract policy, allowing you to pay month to month. An "Open Window Policy" lets parents watch their child's class from the plush lobby area. The studio features a children's play area and professional-grade dance floors. The atmosphere is described as laid-back and family-oriented, starting with the owners and extending through the instructors.

On your first visit, you'll find a laid-back family atmosphere with parents able to watch classes from the plush lobby. Classes are taught by highly trained instructors with professional performance experience, and the studio welcomes students at any level in its non-competitive environment.

The studio's teaching team includes Ahna Bonnette (Groundworks Dance Theater company dancer), Bethany Eilean (choreographer and actor), David Darrington (hip-hop, teaching since 2010), Karina Brown (MFA Dance, 27+ years in dance), Luca Sportelli (former Nashville Ballet company dancer), Nico Oliveros (Cavs Scream Team professional, break dancing and acro), Jacob Glendenning (actor and multi-style dancer), Jenna Mey (competition champion), and Gweneth Amalong.
