About this studio
Smile Awhile Dance Studio operates two locations: a 2,000 sq ft studio in Centerville and a 1,000 sq ft studio in the Morrow Arts Center. Both teach dance to children and adults, with a philosophy centred on self-improvement through movement and developing life skills alongside technique.
The Centerville studio features a cushioned wood dance floor and surround sound. The space is described as cheerful and spacious, with a kid's lobby and WiFi in the parent's lobby. The Morrow location is similarly inviting, with an open studio layout and parents welcome to watch classes.
Miss Milea, who holds an Associate of Arts Dance Degree from Sinclair (earned in 2008 on scholarship) and brings decades of experience, oversees both studios. Miss Mary manages enrolment at the Centerville location. The studios have been operating for 15 years.
Classes span tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, Broadway and cheer dance for children. Adult offerings include adult ballet/contemporary, adult tap and adult modern. Special programmes include Cutie Twos (ages 2–3), Mommy & Me, and a Special Needs Dance Club. Zumba and yoga are also available. Nugent Irish Dance classes are held at the Centerville studio on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The schedule is structured to accommodate young children through teens and working adults, with classes starting from age 2 and running into evening hours. Enrolment is open throughout the year, with low enrolment costs, no recital fees and no dress codes.
