About this studio

Steppin' Out Dance Academy was established in 1988 by Patricia Wegryn-Pawlowski and has served Western New York for over three decades. The studio occupies the Wimbledon Plaza at 266 Center Road in West Seneca and operates three spacious studios, each with raised hardwood floors, mirrors, barres, and sound systems. A spacious lobby and reception area welcome students and families, with plenty of well-lit parking available.

The academy offers a complete curriculum for dancers of all ages. Recreational classes run from beginner through advanced levels and include Dance with Me (18 months–3 years with parent), Mini Movers (ages 3–5), Rising Stars (ages 5–6), and Tiny Tumblers (ages 4–6). For dancers 6 and up, the studio teaches tap, jazz, ballet, acrobatics, hip hop, and musical theater. All recreational classes are organised by skill level, ensuring appropriate progression.

Beyond recreational training, Steppin' Out is home to The Classic Dance Co. of WNY, Inc., the studio's competitive and elite teams. Competitive programmes require audition and include ballet, technique/conditioning, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, acro/acro tech, pointe, and pre-pointe. Competitive dancers are grouped into Mini Squad (ages 5+), Junior Squad (ages 7+), Intermediate Squad (ages 10+), Teen Squad (age 12+), and Senior Squad (age 13+). Contemporary is offered only to Elite team and Senior Company dancers.

Classes begin 10 September 2026, with registration opening 1 August 2026 via the Jackrabbit Class registration system. The studio's philosophy centres on quality dance education at affordable prices delivered within an honest, friendly, family-like atmosphere.
