About this studio
Studio One Dance Academy has served the Clackamas, Milwaukie and Portland community for over 30 years. They teach Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Lyrical, Contemporary and Break to children as young as 3 years old, as well as teens and adults. Whether you're looking for weekly classes for exercise and joy or serious dance training, the studio offers classes at both recreational and competition levels.
The instructors bring combined dance teaching experience of sixty years and focus on developing talent while helping each student discover their strengths and reach their personal potential. Weekly classes are available across multiple styles and age groups. The studio also runs summer programmes, with the 2026 summer session running from July 13th to August 15th as a 5-week session.
The studio operates with family-friendly policies designed to keep dancers safe. Parents and guardians can drop off younger dancers (ages 3–8) in the lobby, and designated viewing weeks allow family members to watch class through large viewing windows with a limit of two guests per dancer. The lobby remains closed on non-viewing weeks to keep numbers manageable during class time.
Recitals and performance opportunities are part of the academy's year. A performing team is also available for dancers interested in taking their training further. If you're interested in a style not currently listed or want to arrange group classes for a team or friends, the studio says it can accommodate custom requests.

Your first visit
You'll check in at the front desk (younger dancers can be walked in by a parent), then head to class. Bring a water bottle and dance bag with your shoes and clothes.
