B-KNWN Elite Dance Company

B-KNWN Elite Dance Company is Lexington's newest and most dynamic dance studio, where excellence meets creativity. The studio is built on a mission to cultivate young dancers into confident performers and strong community members, training not just skilled dancers but well-rounded individuals who carry their passion, discipline, and artistry into all aspects of life.

The studio offers four core programmes. The Stars Program is designed for dancers ages 3–12 who want to learn, grow, and have fun, where Future Stars explore ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and tumbling while building confidence and strong foundational skills in a positive, encouraging environment. The Performance Program trains dancers in a high-energy, supportive environment while building strong technique, confidence, and stage presence; this team performs and competes at local competitions throughout the season. The Training Program is designed for dancers looking to take their skills to the next level in a structured, high-energy learning environment, focusing on building strong technique, mastering new skills, and improving performance quality. The Accelerated Program is created for committed dancers eager to advance their technique, artistry, and performance quality, offering a motivating and structured atmosphere where dancers train rigorously, rise to new challenges, and represent B-KNWN at regional and national competitions.

Beyond regular classes, B-KNWN runs a Birthday Bundle that includes three hours of non-stop fun with tumbling time, group games, a personalized dance made just for the birthday star, and plenty of party time. The studio also offers a wide variety of camps throughout the year, each with its own unique theme, activities, and schedule, from creative crafts to high-energy dance and games.

The studio is led by a diverse, authentic, and energetic staff. Madi, the President, grew up in Chicago, Illinois, as a competitive dancer training in all styles, with hip-hop as her strongest passion. She has spent the past four years coaching dancers and helping them clean routines, perfect technique, and get ready to hit the stage with confidence. Shay, Vice President, is a former University of Kentucky Gymnastics Team competitor with All-SEC accolades and has spent the past six years as an elementary school teacher while training and mentoring young dancers for the past nine years. She is certified in acrobatics through Dance Masters of America. Keturah is the Ballet Instructor, a professional ballet dancer with extensive training at Evergreen City Ballet in Seattle and the Kentucky Ballet Theatre Academy in Lexington. She is a graduate of the Kentucky Governor's School of the Arts, danced with Kentucky Ballet Theatre's professional company and Ardent Dance Company in Chicago as a principal dancer, and has choreographed for Youth American Grand Prix, Dance Open America, and regional competitions. Hannah is a Dance Instructor with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a minor in Dance from Morehead State University, further developed at the American Dance Festival. She serves as Dance Educator at Lexington Middle School and has extensive experience teaching across multiple studios and arts organizations. Kate is a Dance Instructor born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, whose sports career began in rhythmic gymnastics.

B-KNWN is located at 4371 Old Harrodsburg Road, Suite 130, Lexington, Kentucky 40513. Office hours are Monday–Thursday 4:00pm–7:00pm, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday closed.

Whether you're joining the Stars developmental programme for ages 3–12 or training in one of the competitive or advanced programmes, you'll experience age-appropriate instruction that challenges, inspires, and nurtures your potential.

The studio is led by Madi (President), a former competitive dancer from Chicago with four years of coaching experience; Shay (Vice President), a University of Kentucky Gymnastics competitor with nine years of dance mentoring and acrobatics certification; Keturah (Ballet Instructor), a professional ballet dancer trained at multiple prestigious institutions including Kentucky Ballet Theatre and currently performing with Ardent Dance Company; Hannah (Dance Instructor), a Morehead State University Theatre/Dance graduate and current Dance Educator at Lexington Middle School; and Kate (Dance Instructor), trained in rhythmic gymnastics and based in Lexington.
