About this studio

DWM by Jetson is a dance studio in central Copenhagen (Heimdalsgade 35, 2nd Floor) founded and led by Jetson Rodríguez, a professional instructor with over 15 years of experience performing and teaching across Latin America. The studio operates two spaces — Studio A and Studio B — and runs classes seven days a week, with morning sessions at 10:00–11:00 and evening classes from 18:00–20:00.

The core offering splits between high-energy cardio dance and mindful movement. LatinMix is a one-hour cardio class inspired by salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton, and samba, with easy-to-follow steps and high-energy movement. DanceMix blends hip hop, pop, afrobeats, belly dance, and house into a fusion class with dynamic rhythms. Beyond dance, the studio offers Pilates (low-impact, focusing on core strength, alignment, flexibility, and controlled breathing) and Yoga (breath work, stretching, balance, and mindful movement). Senior Dance is a gentle, low-intensity option for older adults or anyone seeking movement without high intensity.

Classes are colour-coded by intensity: Green (low), Yellow (moderate), Red (high). All morning classes and Tuesday–Wednesday evening sessions are held in Studio B; Monday and Thursday evenings use Studio A. The schedule is consistent week to week, making it easy to find a regular slot.

Jetson trained in Venezuela from age eight in Latin rhythms, urban styles, and salsa. He studied Corporate Journalism and Social Communication, earning a university dance scholarship and later instructing the institution's dance company. After an international tour in Colombia, he performed for five years with an international ballet company touring luxury resorts in Punta Cana and Cancún. He is certified as a Pilates and Reformer instructor and dance fitness coach, and also works as a photographer and journalist.

The studio positions itself as a welcoming space for all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. The ethos emphasizes expression, connection, and joy over perfect choreography. DWM also runs workshops and private sessions for corporate events, private parties, and team-building activities. Events include the Afro Latin Dance Party and participation in Copenhagen Pride. The studio has trained hundreds of students across contemporary, hip-hop, cultural, and freestyle styles.
