The Dancer's Pointe

The Dancer's Pointe has been teaching in Orlando since 1990, when owner Susi Martucci opened the studio after dancing professionally for Walt Disney World and teaching in Tampa. The studio is now located in the Edgewood Isle Shopping Center on South Orange Ave and is celebrating its 37th year. Susi holds a B.A. in Dance from St. Leo University and did graduate work in Elementary Education at the University of Central Florida. She is a certified and active member of Florida Dance Masters, Inc., and The Dancer's Pointe is a certified member of Dance Educators of America, Inc.

The teaching team includes Kelly Salisbury, Artistic Director, who trained at Southwest Dance Theatre and Bakersfield Ballet Academy, studied in Los Angeles with Stanley Holden, Joe Tremaine, Donna McKechnie and Louis DaPron, and performed and choreographed musicals in New York. McClaine Timmerman, a nationally and internationally awarded choreographer, holds an MFA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine and a BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago, and is a Nationally Certified Pilates instructor. Nikki Ickes trained at Florida State University's School of Dance, was a Dance Team Captain in high school, and was awarded the title of UDA All-Star. Laura Bryan learned clogging at age 25 and has competed with Silver Bullets, Soundstage and American Racket, and now judges competitive clogging. Noelle Carr grew up at The Dancer's Pointe starting at age 4, danced competitively with Pointe of Impact through age 18, and is currently studying marketing at the University of Central Florida. Morgan Carr-Asher trained in all dance styles at the studio from age five, competed with Pointe of Impact for 9 years as an award-winning tap soloist, and holds a degree in American Sign Language from the University of North Florida. Katy Salisbury began dancing at age 3, performed in the Nutcracker with The David Taylor Ballet and Tulsa Ballet Companies, was a character performer for the opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom in 1998, and has taught dance for over 15 years.

Classes span ages 3 to adult and include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary/modern, lyrical, clogging, musical theatre, and pre-school dance. Specialty classes include Ballet/Acrobatics Combo, Ballet/Jazz Combo, Ballet/Tap Combo, Jazz/Tap, Story Ballet, Pre-Pointe, Pointe I, Pointe 2 and 3, Ballet Choreography, and Leaps & Turns. Pre-school dance classes run 45 minutes for ages 3–4. Many technique classes require prerequisites or concurrent enrolment in ballet. The studio holds a recital each year, with recent highlights from the 2026 showcase "Dancing Through Life" available on YouTube.

Students and families consistently note the studio's focus on building confidence and grace alongside technique. Alumni have continued to pursue dance through college and the professional world, while others have chosen different paths—all, the studio believes, "doing it better and with more style because they are dancers." The studio also runs Pointe of Impact, a competitive dance company.

You'll join a studio that emphasises building confidence and grace alongside technique. Classes are structured by age and level, with many offering performance opportunities at the annual recital. The environment is described by students as safe, fun and family-focused.

Pre-school dance classes start at age 3, and classes for all levels span ages 4 to adult, with adult clogging specifically available.
