About this studio
Timeless Ballroom is a beginner-friendly dance studio in Knoxville offering group classes, private lessons and regular social dance parties. The studio welcomes absolute beginners, all ages, and people without a partner or previous experience. You can learn at your own pace in a welcoming community and choose between structured instruction or social practice.
The weekly schedule spans multiple styles across seven days. Monday brings Flamenco Dance (6:00–7:00 PM) and Belly Dance — Debka & the Oasis Dancers (7:30–8:30 PM). Tuesday offers Nightclub Two-Step (returning September), Country Swing, and Blues Fusion. Wednesday features West Coast Swing at two levels: Level 1 (6:30–7:30 PM) and Technique & Styling (7:30–9:00 PM). Thursday includes Intermediate Ballroom — Combos & Technique and Bachata — All Levels (both returning August). Saturday has a structured bronze and silver pathway: Bronze Smooth, Bronze Rhythm, Silver Smooth and Silver Rhythm, all taught by Jonny Tang and requiring pre-registration. Sunday offers Zouk on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Friday is social-focused: beginner ballroom and Crazy Combos lead into the Friday Night Dance Party (8:00–10:00 PM), held every Friday except the fourth Friday of each month.
Classes are held in the Large Ballroom at the studio, with some sessions held off-site. The studio uses independent local instructors including Gaberial Akers, Heather Johnson, Caz, Regan, Jonny Tang, Joe Walker and Ada Hernandez. Private lessons are available for beginners, couples, wedding dances and focused technique work. The studio is willing to help new visitors find a comfortable starting point and can be reached by email or phone.
