Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts

Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts is a comprehensive studio in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, teaching dance, ballroom, voice, theatre, and instruments to children and adults. The studio operates on a mission to educate, motivate, inspire, and achieve, serving students of all ages and skill levels in a supportive environment.

Ballroom instruction is led by Mark Weber, owner and director of dance. A two-time Country Dance World Champion trained through the BYU Ballroom Dance Company, Mark teaches Ballroom, Smooth, Rhythm, Latin, and Country dance. In 2025, he earned both Top Teacher and Top Studio honors from Dance Vision, recognizing excellence in curriculum mastery, student advancement, and medal exam achievement. His students consistently rank among the highest-performing programs in the country. Mark teaches dancers ages 6 to 88 and is known for clear instruction, high standards, and a supportive teaching style. Training options include Social Dance Track for beginners, Showcase Track for performers, Medal Exam Track following recognized Ballroom and Latin syllabi, and Competition Track for Dance Sport events.

Dance programmes extend beyond ballroom. The studio offers Creative Movement for ages 3–5, Beginning Ballet, Tiny Tap, Tap Kids, Advanced Tap, Theater Beginnings, Theater Kids, MT Formation Kids, MT Combo Kids, and College Prep Musical Theatre for high schoolers preparing for college auditions. Many classes are offered in pairs—for example, pairing Tap Dance with Musical Theater Dance in a single visit to reduce driving and build well-rounded skills.

Voice and Theatre are led by Valerie Nelson, co-owner and head of Voice and Theater. A professional contralto with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State University, Valerie directs a fully staffed voice faculty serving close to 100 voice students from beginners to advanced. The theatre division offers weekly theatre classes, musical theatre combo classes, seasonal musical theatre camps, and a full summer educational theatre season. Recent productions include The Jungle Book Kids (July 30–August 3 and August 6) with two casts, and 42nd Street (June 10–13, 2026), a Broadway musical celebration.

Instruments are directed by Kamberlyn "Kami" Weber, co-owner and director. A recipient of the Global Top Female Teacher Award on the country dance circuit and a lifelong musician trained in ballroom, country, line, tap, jazz, modern, ballet, clogging, and Welsh hard-shoe, Kami teaches violin, piano, viola, marimba, mandolin, drums, and percussion. She has toured the world for over 20 years as a singer, dancer, and musician. Chamber Strings group class is available for advanced beginner to intermediate string students.

The Fall 2026 schedule includes Monday through Wednesday classes ranging from $65 to $95 per month, many with $30 costume fees for recitals. Advanced ensemble group Lights (ages 13–18, auditioned) meets Tuesday and Thursday at 8 pm for $95/month with a $50 costume fee. The studio has introduced a Track system allowing students to take multiple classes at their skill level back-to-back in one day. All classes end with End of Semester Recitals where students perform twice per semester.

Mark Weber, owner and director of dance, is a two-time Country Dance World Champion trained through BYU Ballroom Dance Company and 2025 Dance Vision Top Teacher and Top Studio honoree. Kamberlyn "Kami" Weber, co-owner and director of instruments, is a Global Top Female Teacher Award recipient and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of world touring experience. Valerie Nelson, co-owner and director of voice and theatre, holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State University and has performed internationally in opera and oratorio. Staff includes Kylian Andrew (guitar and saxophone) and Tanish Bangera (violin).

The studio explicitly welcomes beginners in ballroom with a dedicated Social Dance Track and offers beginner classes across tap, ballet, theatre, and instruments for all ages.
