Studio Bizz Mount Royal

Studio Bizz is a multi-discipline movement hub on Avenue du Mont-Royal Est in Montréal, offering over 80 classes per week across dance, yoga and fitness. The studio houses five teaching spaces and operates a full rental service for rehearsals, auditions, social events, photo shoots and film work. More than 50 qualified instructors lead the programme.

The dance offering spans classical and contemporary styles: ballet, hip hop (including hip hop drills and choreography), jazz (Broadway jazz, jazz funk, jazz contemporary, jazz funk fusion), pole dance (choreography, tricks, flow, pole heels), contemporary, Latin dances (salsa, bachata, mambo, salsa footwork, Latin commercial, Latin fusion), reggaeton, samba, K-pop, disco and funk, dancehall, danse afro, voguing, waacking, popping, lady style, heels, cheer dance, chair choreography, and stage lab. Complementary styles include step and Zumba.

Fitness and conditioning courses cover Pilates (including power Pilates), barre, ballet barre fitness, circuit fitness, Latin groove, abs and booty, mobilité and flexibility work, and stabilité and flexibility for dancers. Yoga classes include Hatha yoga, Yin yoga with stretching, and Yoga Vinyasa.

All group classes operate on a drop-in basis, allowing you to join at any point during the session. A welcome month costs 144.99$ plus taxes. The studio also offers private lessons, corporate courses, and programming for schools. Five rental studios range from Studio E (150 sq ft, ideal for 1–2 person private lessons, dance social, Latin, ballroom, swing, yoga, ballet, stretching or theatre rehearsal) at 20$ per hour, to Studio B (2100 sq ft, 30 participants, for TV and film production, fitness, hip hop, urban and contemporary dance, and circus practice) at 49$ per hour. Studio A (675 sq ft, 15 participants, for social and Latin dance, contemporary, meetings, readings, auditions and photo work) costs 32$ per hour. Studio C (1085 sq ft, 22 participants, for auditions, photo work, tap and flamenco, fitness, yoga, hip hop, urban and contemporary dance) is 39$ per hour. Studio D (1271 sq ft, 22 participants, for ballet, contemporary, social and Latin dance, ballroom, yoga, Pilates, stretching and martial arts) is also 39$ per hour. The Lounge (1050 sq ft, 50 participants, for book and record launches, 5-à-7s, cocktails, openings and exhibitions) rents at 98$ per hour. A hybrid Studio Théâtre serves performances in dance, theatre, circus, singing and comedy. Free practice sessions are offered at 10$ for 2 hours.

The studio is located on the third floor of 551 Avenue du Mont-Royal Est and is accessible via Métro Mont-Royal on the orange line. Winter/spring hours (from 5 January) run Monday–Thursday 10:00–21:00, Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–14:00, and Sunday 12:30–20:00. Summer season (from 29 June) maintains the same weekday and Friday hours, with Saturday 9:00–14:00 and Sunday 12:30–18:00. Autumn season (from 31 August) returns to winter hours. The studio maintains a mobile app for class registration.

You can join any class at any point during the session. Classes are drop-in, so show up, register via the mobile app or on site, and start moving. The welcome month (144.99$ plus taxes) gives you access to explore the full range of dance, yoga and fitness courses.

Courses are offered for all levels, from introduction and beginner through intermediate and advanced.
